Best Zombie Apocalypse Phone – Motorola Motofone F3

CNN has a great article recommending the Motorola Motofone F3 as the best phone to have in your toolkit as you prepare for the zombie apocalypse. You can get an unlocked version of the phone for around twenty bucks with a prepaid $20 SIM card, and it uses dual bands so that you’ll be able to get that warning message or rescue SOS message out from your hiding place. It can stay charged on standby mode for over a month and boasts 200 minutes of talk time. The screen uses e-ink technology which requires very little power for screen updates and a minuscule amount when the screen is not being updated. The phone was created mostly for use in developing countries where cell signals and electricity are spotty.  Throw one in you survival kit, but don’t forget to charge it once a week or so.

I used this unit when I was travelling in England on business. It’s a little harder to come by in Canada, but now I have one.

I’m prepared for the walking dead.
