Melbourne Florida Zombie Walk IV

Melbourne, Florida is a town of about 80,000 zombies, oops – I mean people, situated on the central eastern coast of Florida, about halfway between Jacksonville and Miami. They’re trying to bring a little zombie attention their way by holding frequent zombie walks to entertain the locals and tourists, as well as to raise money for the Melbourne Daily Bread charity.

The Melbourne Zombie Walk IV was held yesterday and several hundred zombies came out of their hiding places and shambled downtown, providing yet another view of the zombie apocalypse to come. MetromixBrevard posted their video report on the web, and WTSP has a fantastic slide show that is definitely worth checking out.

I had a great time photographing everyone before the actual walk began. I had to leave before the walk began, but the zombie photos are some of my popular images on flickr. People tell me they really like the zombies just hanging out reading, smoking a cigarette, etc. Here is the link to the photos on flickr. Is the annual walk the only opportunity to photograph zombies locally? I would really love to do a zombie family portrait. Thanks.
