The Real World – Zombieville

The New York Times has a great article about the new collaboration between The American Legacy Foundation and the cable channel MTV. The ALF, based in Washington, sponsors the anti-smoking “Truth” campaign, and has joined forces with MTV, airing commercials about a group of teenagers living in a home that is surrounded by zombies.  The ALF has decided to capitalize on the popularity of zombies to help drive home their message against smoking.  The commercials are well done, with lots of blood, and should appeal to the zombie audience.  The spots can be seen on Real World New Orleans, and there are six in total.  MTV hosts an example of the commercials here.

  1. Delilah says:

Spring is well below way and summer is quickly approaching.

It’s time for little ones to get out their roller
blades for carefree treks down boardwalks and sidewalks.

Dads will rummage by way of closets for dormant baseball caps and
to see if final year’s uniform still matches.
If not playing ball he’ll view from the sidelines,
or from the ease and comfort of his favorite chair.

Mothers, time to don old denims, stock up on sunscreen, and
get out the fishing poles. You heard me, females. Fishing poles!
It is time to combat again!
