The problem with zombies is that they’re always scaring people – especially children and the elderly. Why is that? Is it because of the blood and the gore? Probably. I think it’s high time for zombies to get a new image – a bright, colorful, playful image with lots of color, especially fluorescent colors. I ordered a zombie coloring book from Zombies and Toys called Shades of Decay: A Zombie Coloring Book, by the masterful D. Ryan Allen. Then, I picked up a set of Crayola eXtreme color ultra bright pencils and started to color Allen’s images to show the world how fun zombies can be.
I’m starting a campaign to help the zombies of the world achieve that new image by presenting playful, colorful zombies that aren’t scary and are well – fun! On the box of pencils, it says they are “Ultra-Cool and Super-Hot Colors” and that’s the image zombies should strive for – ultra-cool and super-hot! Now come on, you must admit that the zombie I colored looks way more playful and fun, not scary at all.
Zombies Should be Cheerful
